🧹 Spring Clean Your Business — Without Taking a Loss
If you’re a small business owner who has ever looked at old displays, extra supplies, tools you’ve upgraded, or packaging sitting in storage and thought “I should really do something with this,” this event was created with you in mind.
🌸 The Maker Exchange | Spring Cleaning Edition is a community-centered resource exchange and networking gathering designed to help small businesses clear space, recoup value, and support one another — while keeping resources circulating locally instead of sitting unused or being thrown away.
🚫 This is not a traditional market, resale event, or one-for-one swap.
✨ It is an intentional space rooted in mutual aid, accessibility, and collaboration, where tools, knowledge, and connections stay within the small business ecosystem.
🪑 At The Maker Exchange, approved vendors receive a 6-foot table where they can bring gently used or unused business-related items they no longer need or are ready to upgrade from. Other small businesses attending can purchase those items, offer trades in goods or services, or connect around future collaborations. The goal is simple: turn outgrown business tools into opportunity instead of a total loss — while helping another business access what they need affordably.
🤝 This event is also about connection. Not everything exchanged here is physical. The Maker Exchange intentionally creates space for networking, service trades, and skill sharing. Bring business cards, be ready to talk about what you offer, and be open about what support you’re looking for.
🆓 In addition to vendor tables, there will be a Free Community Table for business supplies you’d simply like to give away. This area is for no-cost donations only — no selling or trading — and items may be taken by other businesses within reason, in the spirit of community care.
🌱 This gathering exists because Small Biz Collective Colorado Springs is a nonprofit, community-led support organization dedicated to uplifting local makers, artists, and small business owners, especially those navigating growth without large financial backing. Vendor table fees for this event are collected through Open Circle Events and fully donated to Small Biz Collective Colorado Springs, where they are reinvested into free and low-cost community events, educational meetups, networking spaces, and ongoing resource-sharing initiatives like The Maker Exchange.
📝 Because this is a curated resource exchange, vendors are required to apply. The application is short and helps ensure items align with the purpose of the event, allows us to plan layout and spacing, and creates a balanced, genuinely useful experience for everyone. Applicants will be asked to upload photos of the items they plan to bring, share a short bio about themselves and their business, and describe what they’re offering and what they hope to find.

💛 Vendor tables are $15 for a six-foot space.
🎟️ General entry is free, with a suggested $2 donation to support Small Biz Collective Colorado Springs. (No one is turned away for lack of funds.)
